Switching from Wafeq to WisoBooks

Both products import from spreadsheets, so the move is mostly a data-cleaning exercise. Export contacts, items and the trial balance from Wafeq at a period end; if you use Wafeq payroll, keep it running until your new payroll provider is live, and post the monthly payroll journal into WisoBooks.

  1. Switch at the start of a VAT period, so no return is split across two systems.
  2. Bring across the trial balance, open invoices and bills, and stock at cost on the cut-over date; keep the old file read-only for the five-year retention period.
  3. Fill in every customer's and supplier's TRN and emirate before your first e-invoice; the network rejects what a PDF tolerated.
