Switching from TallyPrime to WisoBooks

Tally exports ledgers, stock summaries and outstanding bills to Excel. Move at a period end: the trial balance, open receivables and payables, and stock on hand at cost. Expect to spend most of the time mapping Tally's ledger groups to a standard chart of accounts; do that once, carefully, and the opening balances follow.

  1. Switch at the start of a VAT period, so no return is split across two systems.
  2. Bring across the trial balance, open invoices and bills, and stock at cost on the cut-over date; keep the old file read-only for the five-year retention period.
  3. Fill in every customer's and supplier's TRN and emirate before your first e-invoice; the network rejects what a PDF tolerated.
