QuickBooks Online has four UAE plans, from Simple Start for one user to Advanced for twenty-five, priced live in US dollars on Intuit's UAE page. It is a capable general ledger with a huge base of trained users. What it does not have, on the registers we checked on 7 October 2026, is a listing on the FTA's software register or on the Ministry of Finance's provider list, which leaves e-invoicing to an integration you arrange.

Where QuickBooks Online is stronger
- Many accountants and bookkeepers already know it, which shortens onboarding.
- A longer free trial: 30 days against 14.
- Up to 25 users on its Advanced plan, and a large app marketplace.
- A natural fit for subsidiaries of US or international groups already on QuickBooks.
Where WisoBooks is stronger
- E-invoicing and the accredited-provider connection included, so there is no integration to commission before 2027.
- Emirate-wise VAT 201 and the FTA Audit File produced from the ledger.
- A full Arabic interface and bilingual tax invoices.
- Cheques, multi-warehouse stock and Saudi ZATCA in the same product.

QuickBooks Online alternatives in the UAE

| Wafeq | You want a Gulf-built product with payroll on the top plan |
Switching from QuickBooks Online to WisoBooks
QuickBooks Online exports reports and lists to Excel. Take the trial balance, open invoices and bills, and the customer and supplier lists at your cut-over date, and import them into WisoBooks. QuickBooks VAT codes rarely map one-to-one to UAE tax categories, so review the tax code on each item and account once, rather than on every invoice afterwards.
- Switch at the start of a VAT period, so no return is split across two systems.
- Bring across the trial balance, open invoices and bills, and stock at cost on the cut-over date; keep the old file read-only for the five-year retention period.
- Fill in every customer's and supplier's TRN and emirate before your first e-invoice; the network rejects what a PDF tolerated.
Questions people actually ask
Is QuickBooks FTA approved in the UAE?
We did not find QuickBooks on the FTA's Tax Accounting Software register when we checked on 7 October 2026, and it is not on the Ministry of Finance's list of accredited e-invoicing providers. Using unlisted software is not itself a breach; the 2027 e-invoicing requirement is what needs a plan.
Will QuickBooks work with UAE e-invoicing?
Only through an accredited provider that integrates with it. Before your appointment deadline, get the provider's name, the integration method, and the yearly cost in writing.
What is the best QuickBooks alternative in the UAE?
WisoBooks for e-invoicing included and Arabic; Xero for a global product on the FTA register; Zoho Books for a large vendor that is itself an accredited provider.
